The first two days of our Trip
Well, you have a glipmse of our holidays... here come the details...

We departed on a SQ flight which departed just after midnight of 25May and arrived on the same morning at about half past nine (plus two hours time difference). Baby Xin Yi got a few hours of sleep, and was really at her best behaviour. We thot it would be worse when she had less than half of her sleep.

To reach Gold Coast, we took the Airtrain which left at 10.30am, and there was a car which fetched us at the Nerang train station (which was nearest to Gold Coast). All these costed us AUS$37 per adult (Child under 3 - FOC). The other options were to either collect our car at the airport and drove to Gold Coast (but we were too tired then) or to take the coach. But the train option was more a better choice, as we have ample space and Xin Yi even got some sleep on the train. (for more info - see www.airtrain.com.au ) . From the pics, you can tell that the cabin is quite similar to that of our MRT train. In fact, it ran straight through to Brisbane before heading south to Gold Coast.
We reached the hotel - Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise at about 12.30pm and set off shortly looking for Chinese food. Fortunately, there was one opposite the hotel. The food was so-so, but it was rather expensive. After going to Coles for some marketing, we went back to hotel so that all could have a good shower and sleep.
By the time we woke, it was half past five, and the sky had turned dark, we went to hunt for anoher chinese restaurant and managed to find one enroute to Centro. This one offered tastier food at a cheaper price, and the waiter (or the boss himself?) was ultra-friendly, so much so that we went back on the following evening. We did not go far, as we needed to recharge for our Sea World trip the following day.
However, we made a short stop at Hard Rock Cafe where Doreen bought a shirt for Xin Yi. Well, we went back a day later, and both of us also got sth for ourselves.... despite the hefty price :P

You might be wondering how we packaged our deal? We paid for the Very Gold Coast package which we got it from SA Tours (other agents offered this as well), which included three night stay, 4 days car rental, and tix to Sea World and Movie World. We also booked the SQ tix with SA Tours. The Airtrain tpt was paid separately. Likewise for the two nights stay at Brisbane (Holiday Inn again) which I got a better deal from the hotel's web-site. I have not done the overall sum, but you can make a guess how much did it cost... :(
