Just an ordinary weekend

Okay, let's start with a good news. My contract term which would be due by June would not be renewed ... but a permanent one would be offered instead. So, I have to be happy (if you read my earlier entry), and of course I am happy. So one less worry, but one less reason to sniff around. Good or bad? Spoke to some and the worry in falling in a comfort zone. Anyway, as long as I am not complacent, I should be fine.

Well, like the title said, there was nothing exciting over the weekend. Saturday was spent at home, except a short two-hour shopping at United Sq where we went after dinner. Did the usual itenary: Popular, Cold Storage and then Mc, where the missus and myself would have coffee and the young one would have her nuggets (she not so fond of fries these days) and apple juice. I wonder how they made the latter but she seemed rather keen and could finish it. Either the taste or the packaging? When we came home, she did finger painting and see how the mess (or art) she made...

Sunday ... well, missue brought the child to the downstairs library (children community library - under NLB). Just realised that they have stopped offering the lucky dip - where the child could pick after borrowing 4 or more books. The librarian said it was stopped due to abuse. Just last week, I saw one primary school kid tooks four books - scanned under the machine and then re-scanned back, ie borrowed and returned immediately. He happily took the receipt and ran off.

Well, we did went to Raffles City for dinner, where the missus treated all at the SiChuan Court restaurant. I took some pics, which I selected these two which I thot was rather nice. I would say that she was quite well-behaved and finished her rice and soup, so I brought her favourite NZ Natural ice cream. There were few shots, but my missus should be upset if i put them here. The angle was not good. But prior to that, I bought one Riesling from this winery from South Australia - Chain of Ponds. Heard it was quite good... would chill it for tomorrow 8P

The camera seems to be giving me some problem. There was this black patch which would not go away, and it seems to be a fault within, not the len. The LCD screen also fickled on/off. Looks like I need to get it repaired or trade-in with Canon. Must be of the same series, after spending so much monies on spares such as batteries and CF cards (high ILS cost), otherwise those would have to be discarded.

Another cost ...
