Table from Ikea
The daughter's table - which was a gift from my cousin had cracked. It was those which two-piece child seat type - a chair stacked on a flipped table. We had used this table quite widely, for her to have her meals, draw her paintings and of course write her alphabets and numbers. Missus said we ought to get one, so where else but Ikea. Not that their stuff are reliable, but with the wide choices there, and shopping there was such a nice experience - we were simply thrilled by the colours and decors.

Dinner was at the Zhou's Kitchen opposite Ikea. Our first time there, and we were impressed (sure would go back). With the daughter's meal in mind which means we did not have that many choices. Missus did the revolutionary thing - three types of noodles, and one soup. One mee sua, one yee fu noodles, and one Heng Hwa noodle soup (that's for the mother). Even the waitress was shocked when she served to us, thinking that she might have made a mistake. But like all good Tung Lok restaurants, there would be a serving of pickles and ours was none other than keropoks! The daughter had never tried it but on our teasing and perhaps because of the "cracking" sounds, she could not resist and it was a mistake! She loved it! She must have taken quite a fair bit cos this morning she had afew coughs, and believe it or not, she actually told the grandparents that the cough was due to both dad and mum for making her eating the crackers! OMG - parents being blamed for introducing good snacks!
Anyway, back to the table. It was a pink (yawn ....) one with a sliding board underneath (meant for a computer keyboard). The choice of colour was none unexpected if you know the daughter well enuf. So, there i was fixing it at 10pm and fortunately it din take too long.
Oh i forgot there was this lamp, so all in all the damage was a three-digit figure, plus some books for hers at Times @ Anchorage Point ... thank goodness the bonus was a good one.
