A refreshing run

Was at MacRictchie on Sunday morning to have my run. Have not been there for months if not years. I was inspired by my fren KS who told me that he and a few mates have regular 10k runs there on every Sunday 6.30am. Of course I would love to join them but i know that it is impossible to wake up at 6am and catch a cab to be there on time. Not to mention on a regular weekly basis.

Though i would miss the company i have no problem running alone, having done that since NS days training for the big M. So on that bright Sunday morning, I woke up at 7.45 and decided that if i din do it that day, i would not have the chance to do so. So I caught a taxi, and started running at 8.22. Already there were a lot of pple, and i was determined to complete the race, nevermine with the timing. Somehow, the MacRitchie environment was a very condusive place for Sunday long run. I din stop to catch my breathe, but to take the two nice pics (taken with the new Sony Ericson phone issued by the company) . The air was refreshing, and perhaps the fact that with so many fellow runners you felt that you could not give up easily. The feeling was definitely different from running along the roads at the neighbourhood. Of course the lack of practice in this distance meant that my knees were aching but it was well worth it. After faring badly in the recent corporate health screening (poor BMI and BP), it was good that i had a good start.

Hopefully, i could sustain. Would have to set a target of sub-1 for the coming Sheares Bridge Run.
