Yesterday ST saw a bumper page of 108 pages. Plenty of opportunities, notably in the public service with STB, IE S'pore, ACRA, LTA placing large adverts. Expanding or the case of high turnover? With an improved market there are more opoprtunities around and pple are seeking for better offers. This also happens at my workplace. Seems like retaining talent and grooming future leaders are big challenges for the corporate mgt.

Anyway, I could have been on the flight SQ333 to CDG last night for a two months plus stint. Thankfully a colleague was keen to take my slot. Else there would be a lot of arrangements to be made, and I would board the flight with a heavy heart.

Travelling and working aboard are becoming a trend. Now even those in public service are not spare due to the increasing efforts in seeking projects overseas - both to increasee global presence as well as sustaining the large workforce, or they may face the risk of attrition. Like many pple, esp. those with young children, I hope the day would never come that i would be approached, or worse instructed, to fill a slot. If it may jeopardise progression, well... so be it. Who knows I may have to seek another job... but I am prepared.
