29May - Day 4 HK - Relak day
The fourth day was a relaxing day - cos' we have no place in mind to go. So, i thot we revisited Hong Kong island again, and took a tram ride (www.hktramways.com) from Shueng Wan (上环) to Causeway Bay (铜锣湾)- where we could maximise our ride and could hop onto the MTR easily.

Unfortunately, the ride was as comfortable as we had thot - as the daughter could testify immediately - "why no air-con"? Also, the ride was a bit bumpy (due to rail joints) so there were constant knocks along the way. So, halfway through the journey, we decided to alight and headed towards the Queensway Plaza for some shopping in air-con. The missus found that the Sa-Sa shop there got more things than those in Singapore, and she snapped a few perfurms - a big catch - albeit these were miniature ones. It was rather disappointing not to go Causeway Bay as I had read how thriving its shopping scene was. Perhaps, the next trip - maybe should stay at HK island ;)

We also spent the afternoon shopping around in TST. For dinner, we went to another Maxim's (www.maxims.com.hk) restaurant at Star House, near the Star Ferry Terminal, which was not far from our hotel. Personally, I am a big fan of this F&B chain. They have a bakery shop at practically all MTR stations, and so many restaurants around the whole of HK, including the chinese restaurant at Disneyland. The two we went 映月樓 and 星光翠園 were really good. So much so, that we went back to the former for lunch again on the day we left. Good Dim Sum at Roast Meat at reasonable prices. Most impt, the daughter likes their soup - a minimum requirement for dinner. What's more, the view from the window was good too.
Apart from fantastic cantonese cuisines, the other good makan we like was desserts at 許留山(www.hkhls.com), especially the mango ones. Missus simply loved it. There were several outlets near our hotel, the pic below shown the one at Star House.

If you have read my review in tripadvisor.com, you would know how pleased was i with the hotel. Of course, we paid a substantial amt, but that is beside the point. Good and comfortable rooms, where we had sound sleeps every night (though the missus would have hoped for harder pillows). Because we could use the lounge, we had internet access free, and what's more had a cuppa and cookies while we surfed. The daughter was obviously delighted when missus surfed to an online site with Clifford games. When we went back to rooms, there were "Finding Nemo" DVDs to watch. What else can we ask for?
