GST backlash

There were a lot of talks about how Singaporeans reacted to the new GST rate resulted from an increase by 2%. Newly wed couples paying up downpayments for banquets, buying furnitures much earlier, etc in order to save some dollars and cents.

Our household din seem to react that much. The only one, if i could classify, was my "steal" at cold storage, paying $185 for 5 bundles of Friso 4 milk powder, which each cost $37 for two medium sized cans with one small can free! So that effort saved me about $35 to $40!
