Singapore Botanical Gardens is in the news lately due to the car park fee collection. Any way it does not affect us, as we commute by taxi.Sunday evening, we were there again as Xin Yi kept saying that she wanted to "wei-yu he wu-gui". So I woke up up early short of her usual two hour nap, and she was quite excited after hearing that I would be bringing the stroller (we dun usually bring, esp when taking bus) and the mian-bao.

We reached there at about 6 odd. There was some flower sale, so it was rather refreshing to see so many colours. Plenty of pple with their family and pets. As usual, we hit for Symphony Lake but not the usual site as there was a fence which I believe Xin Yi could not see the fishes and tortoises which she was feeding. So this time round, we were barrier-free and rather careful that she would not go too near to the edge. And yes, she did have a good view of what's inside. By the way, if you are not familair, somehow the weeds would grow quite fast and cover a portion of the pond. I think it must have something to do with the tonnes of roti which pple like us threw in. NParks must have spent quite a fortune to clear them up, cos'pple like me would write a feedback to complain of the sorry site.

After feeding the fishes and tortoises a while, she got bored and wanted to feed the birds instead. The interesting thing was that she did not really like to walk on grass patches, thanks to us the parents for not making such opportunities frequent. So after chasing the birds, she then realised that she was on the green and wanted to go back the concrete. Hopefully she would change this habit soon.

There was a lot of partying and picnic at the gardens. Xin Yi was particularly amazed with the kids playing bubbles. So we got one of these kits at Tanglin Mall after we had dinner. I am sure she would pester us to play with that at our corridor come Sunday.
