A fun-filled trip to Pasir Ris Park

Doreen had arranged with her buddy Ling Ling for an outing to Pasir Ris Park http://www.nparks.gov.sg/nparks_cms/display_park.asp?parkid=11 this afternoon. It was meant for an outing for our kids - Xin Yi and Yi Xi, it has been a while since they last met (believed it was the zoo trip in March/April).The weather din look too kind in the morning, and we were contemplating to go or not to go. Eventually we decided to go since the weather was ok at Punggol, where they were staying and it was not far from Pasir Ris.

We reached there at around two, and the kids were quite fascinated with the few ponys (or should it be ponies?) in the enclosure. There were some children queuing for the rides, but our kids were not keen at all. Instead, they were thrilled by the bubbles-making toys which the missus had brought. In fact, it was the first time that Xin Yi had tried the battery-operated gun, and both the kids simply loved it. So much to the extent that they were "fighting" for it!

We walked towards the area nearer to the Elias side, crossing the bridge where there was a mago swamp. There were few anglers but many cylists, and we had to keep a close watch on the two kids who ran about. Xin Yi definitely loved the company of Yi-Xi gor-gor as I have not seen her running around this much, compared to our trips to SBG. Perhaps, this was also a new place. Maybe we should make more trips to other parks.


Unfortunately, the sky turned dark, and we had to run towards Edwin's car before the rain poured. We were indeed lucky as shortly after we drove it rained heavily. As it was milk time for the kids, we went to the Mc at Compass Point. This was our second dining at Mc in consercutive days, as we were at the one in Taka yesterday. Xin Yi had fries again, but it was alright to me since it had been a long while since we last makan there.

While I am writing, she is having her nap. She must have been rather tired after a fun-filled afternoon. Ok, time to stop this post, and do some household chores before she wakes up...
