Day 2 at Macau

After a hearty b/f at the hotel, we took a bus to San Ma Lo which is teh gateway to most of Macau's heritage sites. First there was the Largo do Senado, which was paved with Portguese styled stones. The architecture were well conserved and painted with loud colours. From there, we walked up the hilly slope where there were shops such as Bossini, Hagen Daaz, and also traditional chinese shops selling almond cookies.

The street was in fact packed with many tourists, all believed to have flood to the very famous "Dai Sai Bai"(read in Cantonese), which actual name was the Ruins of St Paul's. Too bad the facade was undergoing repair, otherwise the photos would be nicer.

Thereafter, we headed towards the Monte Forte which was even a steeper climb. There, we saw several old canons with the Muesum of Macau at its summit. We din go in, and headed straight down for lunch at a Sichuan restaurant which came with a big reputation (the whole building was themed with Cai Lan, the famous HK foodie) which food was rather disappointing.

After the lunch, Xin Yi showed signs of tiredness, probaby due to the lack of sleep on the previous day, and we decided to head back for the hotel. She slept at the bus, but woke up in the room, and did not want to sleep again. So we headed back to the nearby New Yaohan. Rather ok. Parents and aunt and uncle went separately to the Floating Casino and the Sands. They spent several hours there, and came back telling us how amazing it was. We settled dinner at the hotel. At night, we thot Xin Yi wanted to do her "big business" and tried to get her to the mood. Well, it din happen that night.
