Jacob Ballas Children's Gardens

For those who read my blog, i apologised for not updating since the last one which was nearly two weeks back. Blame it on Facebook.

Ok, allowed me to share with you of our recent trip to the Children's Gardens on last Sat evening while i enjoyed my glass of Pinot Noir...

Reached there at abt quarter to six (it admits its last visitor at 6.30pm and closes at 7pm) we were not surprised to expect a crowd, but it was more packed that i have thot... no thanks to the playground and the water features which let kids soaked themselves in water - not too bad for a pretty wam day. As expected we din think that the daughter would be warmed to this place as yet, and perhaps she was also overwhelmed by the crowd. It was pretty small, so it is best enjoyed with less pple. Some of those stations have some educational elements in it, but i guess that the daughter would appreciate them better in another 12 mths or so.

We din stay for long cos we need to rush to the Symphony Lake for our routine item - feeding the fishes. It was pretty late and it was a damn long walk from the Children's Garden which was at the Bukit Timah core, and we went there quickly at almost force march pace (of course carrying the daughter by either myself or missus). It was field day for us - throwing in bits of breads from one full Fairprice loaf! There was some bands playing those 80s songs and it was nice.

Thereafter, it was another long march to Tanglin Mall for dinner, as it was really drawing very late. On most occasions we din see the moon as we walked there but we did this time round. It must have been quite a while since we last went cos the Tanglin Market Place has apparently undergone some major renovation where it is now brighter with a more appealing deli section.

We went home with aching legs, particularly the calf. So what is the lesson learnt?
Ask the taxi to head straight to the visitor centre off Evans Road next time round, and skip the Children's Gardens...

I am pretty sure missus would agree... Gd night!

This is the suspension bridge which was too shaky for the daughter... hopefully she is not inheriting this fear from the missus! (who din walk across the one at Mt Cook!)
One of the rare shots with the daughter. Why RARE? Cos i am camera shy, secondly you could hardly get the daughter to pose with a smile nowadays.
