A lousy weekend
Between the daughter and myself, we have visited the doctor 6 times since early Saturday morning.
Visit 1 (Friday night)
Started with the daughter running a high fever which did not go down despite paracetamol. With the temperature hovering at 39 degrees, we decided to bring her to KK A&E... which was not the exactly the wisest option.
Reason 1 - it was a bloody long wait, took nearly 1.5 hours to see the doctor.
Reason 2 - the doctor we saw was a very young lady whose priority seemed to be getting more info from you and keying them into her desktop. She din seem to know Zytrec, for sure.
We were given Bifen and more Paracetamol, though come in another form, plus a nose drop. The bill was $75.
The Bifen seemed to work. We should have gotten it and kept it at home as spare.
Visits 2 & 3 (Saturday am)
Since the KK doc did not subscribe other medicine, we brought her to see our dear GP opposite our block. She was given antibiotic, supplemented with Dimetapp for her nose. I saw the doc for my running nose which started on Friday night. Also antibiotic as well.
Visit 4 (Sunday am)
My nose seemed to improve on Saturday but i got fever and it went really high, sth alarming as i hardly got it. Went back to same clinic, and given fever medicine which worked. Unfortunately that was not the end.
Visit 5 (Tuesday am)
The daughter seemed to develop sore throat with cough. My parents brought her to the same doc - given phelgm medicine (Zenmolin) supplemented by Dimetapp and a dry cough syrup i bought from Guardian.
Visit 6 (Tueday night)
My sore throat was killing me, and hurting my appetite. So i went to see my old camp mate who is a TCM practicioner cos i do not want to take more western medicine. He said i was too heaty, but believe should be curing soon.
Looking at both our conditions, seem like we cun go Kids Run on Sunday... which is a real letdown.
