No more trip to the barber

I just bought a "hair grooming" kit by Philips from Mustafa over the weekend, after several pple had urged me to settle for DIY - which is cheaper and more flexible - i can do it as and when i like. The kit costed about $90 odd, which was slightly lower than ten trips to EC House, or QB, or whatever new shops they have in the streets. Of course, if i use the Malay barber as benchmark, then it would be cheaper by $2.

After charging the battery for a couple of hours (it requires 8 hours for full charge), i could not wait anymore and jump into the toilet with some newspapers (to lay on the floor tiles) and started trimming. Unfortunately, due to my impatience, my first shave (certainly not cut) lasted less than 10 minutes, and there i was some patches unshaved it straight back to the room to resume recharging ... these walking in and out ended with strands (could not find a better word, as my hair was rather short) lying on the floor. Missus told me that the edges behind was incomplete and offered to help... of course being very confident with my skills, i gladly rejected her numerous offers.

At the end of it, after several distruptions, i managed to complete the job. Of course i could not reach for the areas around the ear, so careful look would show some "strands" around the ears and collars. But since i were to start doing it on the weekly basis, the short, short hair would not reach a level which would be an eye sore, it did not really matter afterall.
