Day 4 at Macau

We managed to get room extension till 1.30pm, but then decided that we could not do much if we left at that hour. So we checked out at 11plus, and then went to San Ma Lo again. Unfortunately, it rained! We quickly seeked refuge in the Watson - 3level building and bought more stuff. One of the good buys was the cuttlefish which the missus liked alot.

When we came out, it was drizzling, but it became heavier when we alighted from our taxi. What better to do than to look for a place for lunch. We went to the popular chinese outlet "Wang Chee Kei". I tried the pork-chop burger which was really a slice of fried pork chop in baguette. It was supposed to be one of the favourite local dishes, and it was really not bad at all. The rest were not too pleased with their noodles. Xin Yi din like the noisy environment and we, ie. the three of us had to split with the rest while we took care of her lunch. McDonalds was too packed (thanks to rain, and it was a Saturday) and so we went Starbucks and fed her with the porridge which we had asked to be packed for take-away.

After lunch, we met Bossini and bumped into my parents and more clothes for Xin Yi! My mum actually got a voucher from a lucky dip, so we spent it. Thereafter we decided not to get anyway, and went back to Casa Real where we had some hot drinks before heading to the airport.

The flight was 5.15pm, so we had early dinner which costed a bomb. No choice, cos the choice of food on Tiger was limited. The journey back was not that plesant cos the cushion of my seat was slanted somehow. This was yet another reality of budget airline.

After 3h45min of endurance, we finally arrived back to the BUDGET terminal, and i was rather disappointed with the airport staff for not allowing me to take photo of the plane, citing secuity reason. This terminal was so well designed, that it required us to walk to level 2 (via ramp, not stairs) and took one long walk before entering the immigration counters. Fanastic design. I sweared that I would not fly with Tiger again, unless they are the only one which goes to the particular destination.

The day was made more meaningful, whereby there was a kind of verbal sparring with the taxi drivers. I was not too convinced that the cab boot space was sufficient, because this Encik had some pails in it (it was a 3litre Crown though), and he was obviously not pleased saying if i need a Maxi Cab. Anyway eventually we boarded the cab, cos he managed to pack all our stuff in it.

By the time we reached home, it was 11 plus. We immediately gave Xin Yi a wash-up, fed her with milk and she slept at 1 plus. The rest of the days were more washing ... that the sad truth of returning from an enjoyable holiday ... more works await you ...
