B'day - Part 2

Finally put the act together and edited some pics taken on Sunday. Sadly, I screwed up by adjusting the setting to ISO400, and as a result all the pics appeared blurred. The problem was due to my trial-error approach of overcoming the difficulty of getting sharp pics w/o using flash light, so as to retain the ambient illumination.

Just a recap of what we had on Sunday. Lunch was at Parkroyal Hotel at Kitchener Road - previously known as New Park Hotel. This was a treat from my uncle - a get-together and at the same time celebrating their wedding anniversary. This place was all too familiar for Xin Yi, as she immediately said she wanted ice-cream for herself, ice-kachang for grandfather, and toast bread for daddy, i.e. me. Not surprisingly, she was not keen to finish her porridge, but instead had two servings of ice-cream and peanut butter toast - so that she is like Barney!

Her B'day celebration was at night. Besides the three of us, my parents came over for the "mini"celebration - this was different from the past two years when we had it at restaurants and invited our friends and relatives. Though there was no party, there were few ang-bao and presents - one from us - the Dora interactive computer and the other from my parents - believe or not - a toy vacuum cleaner which actually had suction power! Now she had cash register, laptop, iron, kitchen set and vacuum cleaner, i wonder what's next?

We hope to visit Chinatown before CNY to get into the festive mood. Perhaps this Friday. I would make sure that the camera would be set probably - no more experimentation!
