Impressive T3, but unfortunately not so eco friendly

Was at T3 two Thursday ago, after the Newater Plant visit with my colleagues. Spent a short 1hr or so, but good enuf for me to walk up to the Tree-Top (where some F&B and shopping outlets were still under renovation), and time for kaya toast and kopi. I believe there were even more shops at B2 which i din get the chance to go.
Looks at the pics, isn't the view majestic? such spacious design, with lots of greenery, and mind you the air was cold! The fact that it was so bright was not just due to its lighting system, but the effective use of mirrors to deflect in the skylight into the surrounding. I am a fan of buildings with large atrium, which gives you a very wide and spacious, and borderless feeling. But all these are not free - dun forget the energy consumed to power the air-conditioning. I ever spoke to a M&E engineer who told me that such architectural design is a nightmare for them, because energy consumption would be high. It is always a trade-off between aesthetics and cost, and now also eco-friendliness... i just hope that the skylight system is effective (and not reflecting in all the heat!) as what the good pple at the airport had claimed.
