Gathering of old friends, and making new ones

On Saturday, my friends from Hall 2 (see earlier posting) popped over to my place. We tried to meet twice if not once a year, and lately at the house of one of us as it would be easier for us to keep the children with the toys. Unfortunately some could not make it on the last minutes and for the next few days i have to " induldge" myself with all the Old Chang Kee spring rolls and curry puffs which i had ordered for the occasion. So Su Hock and co, i would make sure you guys would reimburse me somehow :)

The daughter was looking forward to the day, cos we told her that Daddy's friends would come and so would their children. She could recall them when i told her their names but when i showed her the pics of the last two gatherings at Clara's and Yvonne's she was absolutely delighted. So, she even asked me to get those paper party cups and placed them nicely at the table. This was not unexpected cos since she was born we hardly had large group of friends coming over.

They were late and we could see the daughter was losing his patience, and when they finally came, she seemed to have strike chord with them, taking out toys and shared with them - sth which we thot she would not becos she seemed very possesive of her stuff in the past. So while the adults chatted at the living room, the children were running about in the rooms, jumping on-off beds, a bit chaotic, but managable as all we were quite disciplined.

(The pic above shown the daughter with Caley, Yvonne's daughter (the elder one). Here, both assumed the role of princess - daughter's favourite.)

The group of us hope to meet again during CNY, sth which i believe the daughter would also look forward , esp if i tell her she could play with the kids, and not forgetting there would be ang-baos as well.
