Sometimes, you cun trust branded stuff

We got an electric air pot from Robinsons less than a month ago, and there was a 10% discount for items from this "elephant" brand from the land of rising sun which is quite famous and reputable. according to the sales exec "parts frm Japan, assembled in Thailand". Nothing to do with up, up north.

So, unfortunately for us, or was it becos i had used too much of my "elephant" strength that the button got stuck when i pressed for hot water last Saturday. Not even three weeks yet, and we got problem. Missus specifically wanted one that had no special features - just boil water and press the centre button for dispenser - no need to have soft touch or special temp setting.

So suay suay, we got one defective piece. After work at about noon (today on leave, but still went back to settle some installation works) i had to go to this ulu bldg at jln pemimpin for service, and the uncle could not repair it and had to replace the entire cap. He was not too pleased either, saying that he would have to report back to japan office of such poor quality product.

So, doesn't mean you spent a bit more and you could get the assurance.
