Kids Run

Last Sunday, the daughter took part in the augural Kids Run, which was sponsored by Cold Storage. She had just recovered from a bad flu and we were quite hesistant whether we should let her come for the race (or event which is a better word). She participated the event with Ixan and both of them held hands during the beginning of the race, but lost sight of one another towards the end. The daughter was extremely tired at the end, but getting a medal and a cert (which i just laminated along with the number tag) was definitely worth it and she proudly showed the photos and the medal to her grandparents when we met on the same evening.

I did not show one of the pics taken just after the run, which you could see how tired she was. But we were pleased that she was very determined to clear the finishing line, picking up pace as she dashed across.

It was a good start, and i hope she would continue her interest in sports. Perhaps in future, she could run together with me for the Sheares Bridge Run, but that would be few years later, for sure.
