New school, new beginning

K1 class just commenced last Friday and we took leave to accompany her to the PCF kindergarten located at the void deck of my parents' block. Though her former childcare centre also offers K1 and K2 classes, the daughter has to attend full-day class rather than the present 4hour class. Thus we had to make the switch. Initially we were a bit worried that she may not be keen with the transfer as she has made quite a few friends there, but she seemed to look forward to the change, perhaps due to the new uniform and the thought of attending class with her childhood playmate Zhe Hui whose grandmother is neighbours of my parents. Apart from him, two of her former classmates had also made the switch, and my friend Tian Fa's daughter, Megan, is also attending the same K1 class, so the transition should be easier than we would be expected.
I had been rather naggy (that's what the missus said) in reminding the daughter that we would not be preparing her usual peanut butter sandwich as there would be snacks and drinks provided. You see, the daughter did not take lunch while she was attending her half-day childcare and we would always pack some sandwiches (same filling everyday!) so that she had sth to eat while the rest had rice or noodles. As the first day ended early, there were no makan provided, so i would be eagerly waiting to hear what she had on Monday morning.
