Karaoke

Boy, how i missed that. This evening our department had the traditional "lou-hei" (yes, it was a bit early) at our club house at the HQ office. Apart from good food, we had XBox and Karaoke for entertainment - and how would i miss such opportunities. The fact that there were not many keen singers meant i had more chance to sing, or rather express my "talents". Sang at least ten songs, mostly with my colleagues. Mainly chinese songs, like those by Jacky Cheung, Wu Bai, Emil Chau and English songs from Westlife, Boyzone, etc. And the evening ended in a high note with YMCA (to bad not MTV).

I was impressed with the system they had there, perhaps it was really too long after my last visit to a KTV. This machine allowed us to scroll from a screen for songs which were categorised by their languages, singers (male/female/groups). So no more flipping of thick files. Selection was so much easier.

Now I am nursing my sore throat (due to too much singing, but some would term mine as shouting) by drinking honey drink. Looks like I need a second cup badly.

Haaa.... It must be really a long time since your last visit to karaoke.

I had my own culture shock too. Imagine the waitress looking at me in disbelief when I asked for the files. I felt like digging a hole in the ground and hid my head in!

Anyway, cannot remember my last visit to karaoke lounge.

    geee.... really miss those days.
