Kid's Kampong

Went to the Kid's Kampong on Sat - to make up for the excursion which the daughter supposed to have gone with the childcare centre. None of us were free on that Monday, and we were not comfortable that she went unaccompanied.

Unfortuantely, the location is rather ulu. 11 Pasir Rise Farmway 1 - knew this after checking out someone's blog as they do not have a web-site. The cab journey was a bit long, and somehow the daughter had developed this habit of not able to tahan such long trip. She went quiet, became pale, and the next thing you know, we were scrambling for tissues and plastic bags. Get it?

Luckily, she recovered fast, and after seeing the ponds, she sprang into action. Paying a dollar each for a small packet of fish feed, we went to the pond with full of kois. It seemed that they had not bee fed at all, or they were really big eaters. They actually swam to the shallow end of the pond, and climbed, or rather swam on top of another. It was a big contrast from the ones at Suntec City, which fishes din seem to be hugry at all.

The daughter saw some kids doing long-kang fishing and wanted as well. But what are we supposed to do with the fish after catching them? I am not prepared to rear them at home, and not to mention that it costs a hefty $11 for a few minutes of thrill.

But apart from these, and a miserable goose, some rabbits and hens, that's what we saw there. There was a restricted area meant for school groups. Perhaps more animals there.
In short, not a very well planned trip... maybe gog to the zoo is more worth it. But now that she could not tahan long car trip (bus should be alright), looks like options were not plenty. Looks like we have to settle with the Botanic Gardens for the time being.
